LendInvest highlights opportunities in Scottish property
The Scottish property market represents a great opportunity for lenders to finance refurbishment loans and bridging products, LendInvest has said.
The property lender noted that Scottish property is often overlooked by lenders, who focus instead on major English cities such as Birmingham and Manchester.
Tatyana Stefanova, LendInvest’s business development manager for Scotland, highlighted the opportunities currently available north of the border, citing Aberdeen as a prime example.
She said that “there are savvy investors who are making the most of the opportunities in the city” as it continues to recover from the 2014 oil crash.

“There is a strong demand for student lets in the area which offers a significant return for those who target that market,” said Stefanova.
“We recently expanded our criteria and added student lets in Scotland to our proposition and it is only a matter of time before we start seeing more properties being purchased to convert into HMOs.”

Stefanova added that she has been working closely with brokers on realising the emerging property lending opportunities across Scotland.
LendInvest has recently completed a number of deals in Scotland, including a purchase to refurbish a property into a holiday let, and a refurbishment to increase property value; as well as making purchases at auction, and raising capital post-refurbishment.
