Pollen Street managing partner Lindsey McMurray said Tice’s appointment “represents an integral step forward in progressing our US strategy and expanding our presence in North America”.
Pollen Street was established in 2013 and has built a multi asset and multi strategy platform encompassing private equity, senior asset backed credit and real estate.
It has a growing presence in the US having appointed Dan Khouri in December 2020 to focus on the firm’s credit strategy, and has since announced facilities with businesses such as Doorvest and Jeeves.
Pollen Street manages more than £3bn across private equity and credit strategies on behalf of investors globally including public and corporate pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and foundations, asset managers, banks, and family offices.
“Pollen Street has a strong platform based on deep sector expertise and has been active in North America successfully for five years now. I’m excited to join the firm to help in driving and accelerating our growth and presence in the market. As a firm Pollen Street lives its values and has been a strong leader on ESG and on advancing DE&I initiatives across its investments – I am thrilled to be part of the team,” Tice said.
Tice’s appointment comes just weeks before alternative finance-focused trust Honeycomb Investment Trust is set to acquire Pollen Street Capital, with the aim of creating a combined group with assets under management of up to £5bn over the next few years.
