Assetz gives employees £500 towards energy price rise
Assetz Capital’s employees will each receive a £500 bonus payment to help cover the increase in energy costs, amid soaring prices.
During an all-colleague meeting last week, Assetz Capital’s chief executive Stuart Law (pictured) announced a 3.5 per cent salary increase for all staff, as well as the £500 payment.
“Our current economic landscape is extreme and we understand that many colleagues will be making personal adjustments to cover the increased cost of living,” Law said.

“We wanted to do our best to support our team and help to alleviate some of that pressure alongside the support that the government is providing too.”
Law has been vocal about the energy crisis in the past, and Assetz has pledged that by the end of 2022, 95 per cent of all the new homes it funds will have an energy performance certificate (EPC) of B or higher.
Oil and gas prices have soared in recent months, due to the rising cost of oil and gas, and supply chain issues due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
From 1 April 2022, the energy price cap rose by 54 per cent for 22 million UK customers. This means that the average household will have an annual energy bill of approximately £2,000 – up from approximately £1,300 previously.
