Bovill names new chief executive
International financial regulatory consultancy Bovill has named Rebecca Thorpe as its new chief executive, taking over from founder Ben Blackett-Ord.
Thorpe has been with the company since 2006, most recently in the role of partner and head of Bovill, Asia.
She has helped to build and maintain two successful Bovill offices in Asia. In her career to date she has acted as a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) skilled person, and delivered multi-national regulatory change programmes.

Thorpe will take on the new role of chief executive on 1 July 2022. On the same date, Blackett-Ord will become executive chairman of Bovill.
“I have witnessed and been part of Bovill’s development and have always been passionate about pushing the growth of the business in new and exciting areas,” said Thorpe.
“This led me to relocate to Asia in 2015 to grow and build the foundations of our international offering.
“A big part of Bovill’s culture is supporting and nurturing talent and I will continue to drive this when I become chief executive.
“There is likely to be a huge amount of change over the next couple of years in the financial services industry as we navigate the post-pandemic world, and I am looking forward to leading Bovill through this next chapter in its history.”

“It has been a pleasure and an honour to lead Bovill and I look forward to its continued growth under Rebecca’s highly skilled leadership,” said Blackett-Ord.
“The last 20 years in the financial services sector have been exciting, challenging and fascinating. I am proud of the work that we as a group have done and the clients we have served.”
