ThinCats hires director of regional business development
ThinCats has appointed Andy Cocker as director of regional business development for Yorkshire and the East Midlands.
The alternative business lender said that Cocker (pictured) is an experienced commercial banker in leveraged transactions, managed buyouts, acquisitions and growth funding.
He has over 35 years of banking experience and will be responsible for supporting deals across South Yorkshire and the East Midlands.

“Already well versed in the small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) lending space, Andy is known for his ability to add value to a management team and shape deals,” said Mike Hackett, head of sales at ThinCats.
“He will be a strong addition to the ThinCats team.
“Andy will be working closely with local business leaders to deliver sustainable funding solutions for mid-sized SMEs across the region.”

This appointment follows several recent hires at ThinCats. In June, the alternative lender appointed banker Peter Talbot as head of transaction management. In May, it hired James Osbiston as a business development manager for London and the South East and RBS veteran Steve Ford as relationship director.
