Funding Circle to make board changes
Funding Circle will reshuffle its board over the next couple of months.
In its financial results, the peer-to-peer lending platform said that Funding Circle’s non-executive director and chair of the audit committee Geeta Gopalan will take on the role of senior independent director from 19 May.

Matthew King, who is chairman of the boards of Savannah Resources and Funding Circle Limited, the group’s UK trading subsidiary, will join the platform’s board as a non-executive director on 19 May. Helen Beck will join as a non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee on 1 June.
Cath Keers, Bob Steel and Ed Wray will not be standing for re-election as non-executive directors of Funding Circle at the firm’s annual general meeting on 19 May.
Ed Wray, who co-founded Betfair in 1999, is an active angel investor who is director at LMAX, Property Partner and Prodigy Finance.

Keers, who joined Funding Circle in May 2018, currently serves as chair of the remuneration committee at The British United Provident Association and as the chief marketing officer at Sage Group where she was formerly a non-executive director.
Bob Steel, who has previously served on the board of Barclays and as a vice chairman of Goldman Sachs, is currently chairman at Perella Weinberg Partners and a director of Union Square Hospitality Group.
