EstateGuru sees UK investors double despite Brexit
The number of UK investors using European peer-to-peer lender EstateGuru doubled last year.
The property finance provider said this suggests Brexit has not deterred or stopped Brits from using its platform.
Piret Reinson, head of marketing and communication for EstateGuru, said the platform had 590 investors at the end of 2019, which grew to 1,200 by the end of last year.
“There’s no influence regarding accessing these investment opportunities from all over the world, Reinson said.
“We’ve got all our anti-money laundering and know your customer processes in place and the investor just needs to be verified after which they can start investing.
“Perhaps after Brexit, UK citizens are more eager to look around and more open to discover new opportunities?”
