Fintechs feature heavily in list of best start-ups to work for
Fintechs make up nearly half of a list celebrating the 50 best start-ups and scale-ups to work for.
Recruitment company Otta compiled its Rocket List 2021, a list of 50 of the fastest-growing companies in London to accelerate workers’ careers in 2021.

The list was vetted by investors and technology leaders such as Tech Nation.
The experts considered a firm’s level of investment, diversity and inclusion and the number of jobs available and their corporate mission.

Nearly half of the list of 50 companies were made up of fintechs.
These include digital banking app Revolut and payments solution firm Checkout.

Open banking fintechs TrueLayer and Credit Kudos also feature on the list.
TrueLayer provides lenders with APIs, while Credit Kudos uses financial behaviour to measure creditworthiness.
According to data from Tech Nation, despite Covid-19, the UK tech sector demonstrated its resilience last year through continued job creation, investment deals and a record number of industry visa applications.
Tech job vacancies rose by 50 per cent since the year’s lowest point in July and since then job opportunities also increased at a rate of 2.6 per cent a month, reaching 75,353 open job advertisements in November.
