Relendex appoints new director of sales
Property-backed peer-to-peer lender Relendex has named Aaron de Silva as its new director of sales in the property development finance division.
De Silva (pictured) will work closely with the platform’s newly-appointed chief investment officer Anthony Shayle.
UBS veteran Shayle joined Relendex last week, and it is believed that he will move into the role of chief executive within the next few months.
Before joining Relendex, de Silva was head of business development at a national firm of solicitors where he developed extensive contacts within the housebuilder sector.

“Relendex is a business with a great reputation, I am excited to be joining at such an important time for the alternative lending sector,” said de Silva.
“I’m looking forward to using my experience and network to support the growth aspirations of Relendex as they continue on their path as a leading commercial property lender.”
Paul Sonabend, executive chairman at Relendex, added that de Silva will “play an integral role in bringing Relendex’s proposition to the house-building sector.”
“We are delighted that Aaron has joined Relendex and are confident that he will build excellent long-term relationships with regional house-builders,” Sonabend added.
