Funding Circle CFO to stand down
Funding Circle UK’s chief financial officer (CFO) Sean Glithero is to step down after almost two-and-a-half years in the role.
Glithero joined the peer-to-peer lending platform from Auto Trader in September 2017 but will leave the board, and his role as CFO, later this year.
“It has been an enormous privilege to have worked alongside so many talented people here at Funding Circle,” Glithero said.
“I am leaving to take a break and I continue to remain a strong supporter of Funding Circle and its mission.”

He will be replaced by Oliver White, currently CFO at Vanquis Bank.
White has also worked for Barclaycard and Capital One.
“I’m looking forward to joining the Funding Circle team. Small business lending is a substantial market and has been hugely underserved for years,” White said.
“The team at Funding Circle have shown over the last decade there is an alternative and better way to help small- and medium-sized enterprises access the finance they need to run their businesses.”
Samir Desai, chief executive of Funding Circle, praised Glithero for his work and described White as the “right successor” with a “proven track record and deep understanding of growing an international loan provider.”
