Assetz adds more new relationship directors to regional teams
ASSETZ Capital has appointed another four relationship directors to its regional teams, as the platform approaches its £1bn lending milestone.
Former Santander and Clydesdale Bank executive Lee Francis will cover London and the South East; while Paul King – a 35-year veteran of the finance and property sector – will join the Midlands team.
Tony Kear, formerly of RBS, Barclays and Handelsbanken, will focus on the South Wales and Bristol regions; and Santander veteran Jon Pike will be based in Exeter, where he will be developing Assetz’ business in the South West.
Both Kear and Pike have previously specialised in the healthcare industry and will also be taking on roles within Assetz’ national care home team.
The latest hiring announcements come after Lucie Martin was named as a relationship director in Scotland and Northern Ireland earlier this week. Martin will also focus on healthcare, and specifically on growing Assetz’ growing care home portfolio.
Each of the new relationship directors will work with brokers and intermediaries to provide small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and property developers with access to funding.
“Our commitment to supporting SMEs and property developers in the UK in their quest for growth means that we have bolstered our team in order to meet demand,” said Stuart Law (pictured), Assetz Capital’s chief executive.
“The appetite for growth capital is a positive sign for the local and national economy and shows businesses confidence is relatively high.
“As we are approaching our £1bn lending milestone, it is important that we have the best teams possible in order for firms to achieve their potential. I’m delighted to be welcoming Lee, Tony, Lucie and Paul to the team and with their impressive backgrounds and wealth of local knowledge, and I am excited to see the positive impact that they will have on their respective patches.”
