THINCATS has named Chris Webb as business development director for the Midlands.
The peer-to-peer business lender said on Thursday that Webb (pictured) will be based between the company’s Birmingham office and the head office in Ashby.
He has over 30 years of experience in the business finance sector, most recently at the bank Santander UK, where he held the role of head of asset finance for the Midlands before joining ThinCats.
In his last role, he led a team a team of asset finance professionals providing funding to a range of quality commercial and corporate clients.
“It is fantastic to be able to welcome Chris into the ThinCats team,” said Mike Hackett, head of sales at ThinCats.
“We are able to best serve British businesses when we combine our proprietary data and analytics methodology with people from the very top of our industry.
“Chris brings with him a wealth of experience and is a tremendous asset to the team.”
Webb said he was delighted to be joining ThinCats, “with a team of people who are passionate about supporting businesses growth aspirations across all sectors with innovative funding structures.”
This is the latest in a flurry of new appointments at ThinCats. Earlier this week, the firm named former Barclays executive Andy Hegedus as director of underwriting and last week, it appointed former Lloyds Banking Group relationship manager Tim House as associate director for the North.
