ThinCats continues recruitment drive with new head of credit
THINCATS has appointed Greg Beamish as head of credit as it continues its hiring spree.
He brings 12 years of investment experience to the business lender, ranging across secured credit to distressed equity, most recently focused on the small- and-medium-sized enterprise (SME) space.
Beamish has worked at Barings, Sun Capital Partners and ESO Capital and will be based in the London office of ThinCats.
His key responsibilities will be management of the credit team, overseeing the efficient execution of credit processes and managing the underwriting process.
“I was attracted to ThinCats because it offers the opportunity to provide capital to a vastly underserved segment of the economy, through a platform which combines the best elements of lending technology with conventional credit underwriting practice,” Beamish said.
It comes amid a boom in hires at the platform.
Last month the lender appointed a former AIB banker to boost origination in London and the South East, and in April it announced the appointment of a former Natwest executive to its North West sales origination team.
“Greg brings a wealth of valuable and hugely relevant expertise that will help to fine tune the credit process from start to finish, enabling ThinCats to offer an increasingly accessible credit facility,” Damon Walford, chief development officer at ThinCats, said.
“It all adds together to give growing and ambitious UK SMEs the very best opportunity to access the funding that they need to fulfil their ambitions.”
